La Grève Générale are a production duo based in the salubrious belly of East London that is Hackney and seem to be most happy when making mixes of buff hype proportions. They sent me through the Soixante-Trois Minutes mix they put together recently and it certainly is something that I wish I had the talent and patience to do myself.

This is completely fucking mind blowing... I don't even especially like hip-hop (and I rarely swear, that's how good it is), but this mix is just too funky and excellent NOT to like in it's entirety. It even has Rage Against the Machine mixed in. How sweet is that?

It has been a long while since I've been into mixes. Nothing has particularly caught my attention in a while... But yesterday Missing Toof posted an exclusive new mix by La Grève Générale... Even though I am chronically ill this has managed to perk me up. So if you are going out any time soon get this whacked on before hand... And you'll probably end up staying in and throwing a massive party in your own house and causing tremendous amounts of damage. I bet it'd be worth it though. Invite me!

these cats are a duo from london/hackney(represent!) and they've been active on myspace since last week. not sure about the inclusion of lady sov(yawn), but based on my listening thus far it appears there is more going on here then simple mash ups, a la girl talk (song + song + sample of song + sample of other song). other then that, there are a lot of hot tracks that we should all be familiar with- just look for the track list.
